First Blog :)

Well, I've been thinking for a while I should start a blog and now, here it is. Its time. So much happens in our life and I think my Step-Dad is starting to consider moving to Calgary on order to not have my Mom on the phone with me so much :)

Kingsley is 11 months, 1 week and 5 Days old. That sound so much better to me than almost a year old. So 11 months, 1 week and 5 days it is. She has changed so much in these past few months (ok, the last 11 months, 1 week and 5 days, but really..). She took her first steps March 22 and has slowly been working her way up to it being her perferred mode of transportation. Someone forgot to tell her that your are supposed to walk before you run, so there have been many a faceplant these last few days. Im sure she will get it soon and she'll be off :) Other then walking, she's just been all around growing. I still maintain that my poor daughter IS average height and not the shorty pants she's been accused of :) She loves to babble and growl. Yes growl. We are discouraging that, but for some reason she thinks we are funny. She loves to be outside, whether it be crawling on the grass, going for a walk or playing at the park by our house.

Doug and I are busy working these days. Its been hard working opposite shifts, but its been worth it to keep our girl out of daycare. So we enjoy the time we do have together during the week and ANXIOUSLY await out weekends together. For a couple that is used to spending all our days and evenings together, this has been very different! What we lack in quantity, we've been making up for in quality. But on a different note, Doug has found his time with Kingsley incredible. He is so happy playing peekaboo, getting applesauce all over him and pushing Kingers in the stroller. He always says the only way it could be better is if I was there too :)

My new job is not so new anymore I guess, I've been at it for 2 months now. As much as I miss my girl and hubby, its been the perfect job for me to have gotten. I love having the flex hours and a great boss. Plus, Im thrilled to be back in Real Estate, this time in a far better position. I find the whole industry so fascinating!

Anyways, thats enough chatter for now. Im definetly going to be trying to update as much as possible so as to save my Step Dad from kidnapping my mom to Mexico with no phone line :)
